Everyone knows the value of Scandinavian design and its principles, like functionality as a driving force, minimalist beauty, social responsibility and more. Yet, how much can we absorb of those values with our personal background that works as a filter?
With our Contemporary Scandinavian Village concept, you embrace the real Scandinavian essence, experience it with fresh eyes and genuine curiosity. You will go through a stylised small village composed by design products archetypes which has been reduced to their minimum core, where every element is as big as a little kid could perceive them, to really question yourself about the substance and not be fooled by the form that adult eyes tend to look at.
You will enter this magical landscape made of clean wood and colourful islands — a playground drawn like a fairytale on a canvas, where you can experience the materials, the colours, the attention to details and the nature that surrounds everything. At the same time, you will not stop at the appearances of the landscape, but having the chance to go deeper and understand what really distinguish Scandinavian Design.
What really is a chair? What is table? What makes a house your home?
It’s up to you to find out…
By designing 2 x 2m cube structures that we edge paint to create archetypes, the audiences experience the core value and thinking behind of what bring Scandinavian design blossomed. Boards were added to create shade, display areas and seating for the fair visitors.
